Study of Tulips is an original Oil painting on a wood panel, framed in a hand painted real wood frame. 
This is one of a series of oil paintings that I have been working on over the autumn of this year and depicts a vase of beautiful pink and mauve variegated tulips.  Hints of blue and green and lots of texture add to the beauty of this piece, I love the looseness of these studies. 
Measuring 10”x 8” this piece is unvarnished which allows the natural oils to breathe. The frames are finished with a layer of wax, buffed to a light sheen.
